My trip report is very similar to mother of two collies. My usual two weeks occur during American Thanksgiving and the following week. I flew from Toronto with Porter Airlines (very impressed) to Boston on Feb.26 and flew Jet Blue (equally impressed) the next morning and things couldn't have gone smoother. The check in was very easy and it was great being greeted by friendly familiar faces. I was lucky enough to rent 4 nights each from two different owners thanks Mary and Gary. It certainly was much windier at this time than during late November but definitely less rain. Forget about getting a hut at the beach or an umbrella by the pool unless you get there ridiculously early which we were not willing to do. We could always get a hut on the beach after 3:00 P.M. however as many would pack up and leave. It was wonderful seeing the regulars greet their La Cabana friends with big smiles and hugs which reminded me of so much of what happens during our two weeks. It was very difficult to see how the new casino is progressing so I can't give any new updates on that front. Walking the beach was actually quite painful at times due to pelting sand. The sea water actually seemed colder at this time. We didn't venture off the property very often to eat but when you can experience excellent food and service at Las Ramblas we felt we weren't missing anything. Having a quiet Spanish guitarist/singer perform is a great touch which we very much enjoyed. The Islander Grill provided a very good alternative if you wanted something a little lighter and breakfasts were very good. I highly recommend the Wednesday all you can eat ribs night. Unfortunately it was time to go home. Left Aruba on Tuesday March 6 around noon and there was very few people at the airport and our Jet Blue flight took off on time and got our connecting flight from Boston to Toronto via Porter airlines and arrived home in Toronto around 9:00 P.M. without difficulty. All and all had a great relaxing vacation and looking forward to seeing all our friends in November/December.
