Why is the Beach & Racquet Club going through a costly renovation program at this time?

  The resort is 17 years old and needs both major repairs and modernization. The Board of Directors of the Co-op Association has been discussing this for a long time and put this off during the recent separation from the Villas.

  Who is doing this renovations project?

  The Board of Directors of the Co-op Association has sought out engineers and designers to bid on the project.

  How is this going to affect my unit?

  This will modernize and upgrade your unit providing a totally new look and feel as well as significantly improving and enhancing the value of your unit.

  What is this going to cost me personally?

  There is a special assessment based on the number of shares per unit:
A,B,C, & F units equal two shares per week.
D units equal 3 shares per week.
E units equal 5 shares per week.

  When is this going to start and when will it be completed?

  We intend to begin the renovations May 2008 and final completion will take three years.

  How will I know when my unit will be affected and will I have to change my travel plans to Aruba?

  Schedules of sections closing will be posted here and unit renovations are posted to allow you the ability to either reschedule your visit to Aruba or make alternative arrangements for your vacation here during the renovation period.

  Where can I see the plans?

  Plans will be displayed in both the Members Lounge at the resort and on this Web site under the DRAWINGS tab.

  Will there be a model unit so we can see what this will really look like?

  The Model Rooms are available for viewing on Wednesdays at 11:15 am, just after the Owners Meeting.

  Who is Archie Tech and how can he help me?

  “Archi Tech” is your Ombudsman who may look like a cartoon character, but he is a compilation of renovations coordinator that are here to help answer your questions and get your concerns and ideas heard by the right people. You should communicate with him whenever you need a question answered. He is available 24/7 and will get back to you in a timely manner.
