    Lobby floor tiles

    Room number: 144A
While spending 3 wks at LaCabana last month I was concerned about the the new tiles in the lobby and outside the lobby. several tiles in several areas had to be replaced already. After some observations I noticed these tiles are very thin and not floor tiles. These are very thin and easily damaged, as evidenced by all the divots in the tiles outside the doors. It is obvious these are all goin gto have to be replaced as they are breaking inside the lobby and for safety reasons outside. Are the owners going to be responsible for the cost of the contractor using inferior materials, and have it redone with the right tiles?

I am really tired of BlueGreen making the choices and we, the owners paying the bill. It is so much like home where the politicians spend money that we have to cough up. We have no one to mind the store except the board and it is too much to ask of them to be sure that things like quality of building materials not be compromised. I am afraid that we are ducks in a pond that unscrupulous people are picking off. Just look at how long it takes to get anything done! Time is Money !! We may not be getting value on our our investment. And, by the way, how is the casino coming along????

    Archi or BOD
Please respond to the questions on these floor tiles. Why has this been not addressed publicly if addressed at all. Joe at the owners meeting in May,told me right to my face that the problems were due to the soil, and we allknow that was not true. The tiles used were too soft and should not have been used. Plese let us know that this is being addressed through the bonding process or through the courts. This is a perfect example of malpractice.

Don't you just love how these types of questions are totally ignored by the BOD and BlueGreen Joe. NOT !

I was also shocked at the many cracked tiles I saw in the lobby when I was last there in July. You don't have to be a tile expert to know that the job wasn't properly or competently executed. And, frankly, I am fed up with whomever is responsible for overseeing/approving the renovations. I am still fuming over the roof debacle and now this????? I think we need to reassess the competency of the management team.

BTW, the pavers/tiles outside of the lobby (on the right) had me shaking my head in disbelief. I think I could have done a better installation job than the "professional" we used. What the heck is going on???????
